What an AI face swap actually is

An AI face swap is a short video in which a model has detected a face in a target clip and replaced it with a different face — yours, sent in as a selfie — while preserving the original expression, lighting, head angle, and motion. The current website creator uses the canonical Action Hero scene. Other currently available curated scenes and custom target-video upload belong to the separate Telegram flow.

How it works

1. Open the Action Hero web creator. The scene is already selected.
2. Read and explicitly accept the age, rights, consent, and processing notice.
3. Upload one clear adult selfie — face the camera, with even lighting and no sunglasses.
4. When intake and allowance are available, follow the real progress states and inspect the private watermarked preview in the browser.

What makes Standin different

• Browser-first. No app install or registration is required before a website preview.
• One implemented web scene. The MVP uses Action Hero; the browser cannot upload a custom target video.
• Preview before purchase. Up to three successful watermarked website previews are allowed per web actor in a rolling 30-day window when intake is enabled. Technical failures do not consume that allowance.

Selfie tips that actually matter

• Even lighting. Face a window or a lamp. Harsh side-light or backlight confuses the model.
• No sunglasses, no hat brim. Anything covering the eyes or casting a hard shadow across the brow makes the swap fall apart.
• Look at the camera, not the selfie screen. The model's trained on front-facing angles; the slight down-tilt of a selfie-screen shot doesn't help.
• One face in the frame. Group selfies work less well. Send a single-person shot for the cleanest result.
